Kelly Pratt Big Horn

As a multi-instrumentalist, composer, and arranger, Kelly Pratt has collaborated with hundreds of artists including Arcade Fire, Coldplay, LCD Soundsystem, Passion Pit, The Antlers, Guster, Lonnie Holley, and Anthony Braxton. From 2006–12, he was a full-time member of indie-pop outfit Beirut, contributing arrangements, brass/woodwinds, and vocals. In 2012-13 he collaborated with David Byrne and St. Vincent, providing arrangements for their album “Love this Giant”, as well as serving as arranger and musical director for their world tour. In 2015 he was the arranger and brass/woodwind player for Contemporary Color, a multi-media tour curated by Byrne featuring contemporary pop stars accompanied by color guards. Pratt is also the chief songwriter and vocalist of the band Bright Moments, whose debut NPR called “a wildly creative album, packed with energy.”

Since 2017 he has served as the arranger/conductor and multi-instrumentalist for Father John Misty’s touring band, and has recorded on several of the band’s studio albums. As a composer of media his works have been featured at MTV, The Daily Beast, Marketplace, Marc Maron’s WTF, CollegeHumor.com, and many more. He has written extensively for film, including compositions for Jim Jarmusch’s “Gimme Danger” and Ari Aster’s “Midsommar”, as well scoring the shorts “El Porvenir” and “Roberta’s Living Room”. He can also be heard as an arranger and multi-instrumentalist for several episodes of “Bob’s Burgers” and “The Great North” on FOX and “Central Park” on Apple TV+.
